Albino Ibar started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Ryszard Pilipiec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 6 played minutes AKI CORINTHIANS got a freekick which was hit by Paredes Fortes. With an all-out effort, Pogoń Stawiszyn's Orlando Nogueira threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ryszard Pilipiec, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 10 minutes into the match, Albino Ibar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilbert Podolski. Pogoń Stawiszyn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albino Ibar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, Romeu Tinoco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AKI CORINTHIANS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pogoń Stawiszyn the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in AKI CORINTHIANS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! AKI CORINTHIANS:s Orlando Nogueira showed great skill when he stopped Florian Panikowski:s penalty. Gilbert Podolski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jefferson Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute Jefferson Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Podolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, AKI CORINTHIANS's goalkeeper Orlando Nogueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Igor Maruda. If Jefferson Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Florian Panikowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pogoń Stawiszyn's supporters rose to their feet, but Florian Panikowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Nogueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, AKI CORINTHIANS's Jefferson Ribeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilbert Podolski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ryszard Pilipiec made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Pogoń Stawiszyn's goal looked a bit too open when Albino Ibar came free, but Gilbert Podolski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 54 played minutes AKI CORINTHIANS got a freekick which was hit by André Carvalho. Kazimierz Dylla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Nogueira having to interfere. Orlando Nogueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florian Panikowski's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Igor Maruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Orlando Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, AKI CORINTHIANS's Jefferson Ribeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilbert Podolski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jefferson Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Pogoń Stawiszyn's Ryszard Pilipiec got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kazimierz Dylla kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The AKI CORINTHIANS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AKI CORINTHIANS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
