AKI CORINTHIANS's Orlando Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolf Jamieson in the 28th minute of play. But to his dismay, Albino Ibar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Armin La Penna was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ciro Brasil showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 40 minute of play. The referee ignored AKI CORINTHIANS's protests and gave Vânderson Castro a yellow card for diving instead.
