TRICOSHOW F.CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Belmiro Pombal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilfried Ottens in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th match minute, TRICOSHOW F.CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the game, Roel Geerdink was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Dalwhinnie Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TRICOSHOW F.CLUB the free kick. After a rather tough play, The Dalwhinnie Boys's Roel Geerdink got a free kick in the 19th minute. Emerson Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emerson Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 25 minutes on the clock, Hamílton de Sena commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Hamílton de Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Vicente Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Numan, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Nelsinho Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. A hard shot by Danny Numan from long distance, 30 minutes into the match, got Vicente Lara's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Bennie Robben made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Pombal in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Pombal in the 34th minute of play forced The Dalwhinnie Boys's goalkeeper Bennie Robben to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th match minute, TRICOSHOW F.CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Danny Numan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and TRICOSHOW F.CLUB's Vicente Lara didn't even have to move. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Filipe Botelho sped through The Dalwhinnie Boys's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bennie Robben. TRICOSHOW F.CLUB's Vicente Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save TRICOSHOW F.CLUB from getting a goal against them. Bennie Robben came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by TRICOSHOW F.CLUB's Belmiro Pombal. But to his dismay, Belmiro Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfried Ottens to make the kick off. Vicente Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfried Ottens, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Vicente Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Kleinman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 62 played minutes TRICOSHOW F.CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Valle. 70 minutes into the match, TRICOSHOW F.CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Rein Pilage came free, but Vicente Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emerson Viana hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Miguel Pires might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bennie Robben. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Pires ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to The Dalwhinnie Boys getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ronald Sleiffer hit a great ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Miguel Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
