Lilian Thuram received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Mekki Pink tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, Bonggo Suwandi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JEMBer UTara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Avel Vat the free kick. After 5 played minutes JEMBer UTara got a freekick which was hit by Bonggo Suwandi. Edmond Kubiak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 minutes JEMBer UTara's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Youri Djorkaeff who took care of the corner kick. Youri Djorkaeff made a great header on Avel Vat's corner, it was just that JEMBer UTara's Mekki Pink managed to reach the ball for a save. Malcom Vrignon hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Ecep Priambodo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JEMBer UTara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ecep Priambodo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mekki Pink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillaume Minier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moïse Labruyère made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonggo Suwandi in the 20th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Avel Vat got a freekick which was hit by Guillaume Minier. A collision led to JEMBer UTara getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Bonggo Suwandi hit a great ball. In the 29th minute Edmond Kubiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mekki Pink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Eza Sinuraya fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jem But was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After a rather tough play, Avel Vat's Ahmid Le Bastard got a free kick in the 38th minute. When Ecep Priambodo fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JEMBer UTara's protests and gave Ecep Priambodo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, Ecep Priambodo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th match minute, JEMBer UTara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jem But to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in JEMBer UTara's zone, Youri Djorkaeff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mekki Pink came out of the goal and Youri Djorkaeff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 minutes, Youri Djorkaeff made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. JEMBer UTara's Mekki Pink tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chi Bay to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Avel Vat's Youri Djorkaeff got a free kick in the 57th minute. Youri Djorkaeff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mekki Pink having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Malcom Vrignon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Mekki Pink successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 64th minute Avel Vat were awarded a corner. Youri Djorkaeff went to the cornerflag to take it. 70 minutes into the game, JEMBer UTara's Chi Bay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Moïse Labruyère made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, JEMBer UTara's Chi Bay got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Mekki Pink made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Youri Djorkaeff sent off a good shot on target. Moïse Labruyère made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chi Bay in the 89th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
