Edmond Kubiak's late challenge caught a KOLIBER OCYPEL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmond Kubiak helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes Avel Vat got a freekick which was hit by Edmond Kubiak. In the 14th minute, Youri Djorkaeff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, KOLIBER OCYPEL's Dobromir Rode got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute of the match Youri Djorkaeff shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Herbert Domeracki showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Avel Vat's Edmond Kubiak got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Moïse Labruyère made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iwo Wawrukiewicz in the 28th minute. Herbert Domeracki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Youri Djorkaeff's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Guillaume Minier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Czeslaw Klocko got free with Moïse Labruyère in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Youri Djorkaeff was the one to do the kick off. After 50 minutes of play Avel Vat's Edmond Kubiak was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 51 played minutes Avel Vat got a freekick which was hit by Edmond Kubiak. A collision led to KOLIBER OCYPEL getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Iwo Wawrukiewicz hit a great ball. Witold Witkowski's late challenge caught a Avel Vat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. On his own Bakary Soula managed to get through KOLIBER OCYPEL's defense and was going for a shot in the net, but Herbert Domeracki lunged to the right and managed in the last second get hold of the ball before it was to late. If Iwo Wawrukiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, KOLIBER OCYPEL's Dobromir Rode got a free kick in the 74th minute. Czeslaw Klocko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Youri Djorkaeff put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Herbert Domeracki. An unexpectedly hard shot by Youri Djorkaeff in the 81st minute of play forced KOLIBER OCYPEL's goalkeeper Herbert Domeracki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KOLIBER OCYPEL's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Igor Bobrowski in the 84th minute. The corner led KOLIBER OCYPEL's Igor Bobrowski to fire away a dangerous shot which Moïse Labruyère despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 87th minute, one of Avel Vat:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Avel Vat. Moïse Labruyère had in the 90thth minute some difficulties stopping Igor Bobrowski's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Igor Bobrowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Moïse Labruyère. Avel Vat's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Bobrowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Lilian Thuram fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Domeracki having to interfere. The Avel Vat supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Avel Vat would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
