In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind IKS Norrköping's goalkeeper Pelle Wennerqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bengt Askberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Eugen Jupân skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Dennis Klementsson fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IKS Norrköping's protests and gave Dennis Klementsson a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes IKS Norrköping got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Klementsson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dumitru Opincaru in the 10th minute of play forced IKS Norrköping's goalkeeper Pelle Wennerqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Ryszard Borcz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DINAMO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 16 minutes into the game, Basarab Zburliş was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DINAMO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IKS Norrköping the free kick. 20 minutes into the game, Ryszard Borcz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Pelle Wennerqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the match, DINAMO's goalkeeper Eugen Jupân had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt Askberg. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by DINAMO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dennis Klementsson was slow to take the kick. During this time IKS Norrköping's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Jan-Olof Pihlblad managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Pelle Wennerqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Zburliş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Eugen Jupân managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when IKS Norrköping's Bengt Askberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 36 played minutes, DINAMO's Remus Elisei shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pelle Wennerqvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in DINAMO reached it. Pelle Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Zburliş in the 41st minute of play. Basarab Zburliş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengt Askberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugen Jupân read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dumitru Opincaru to strike the kick off in the second half. DINAMO's Eugen Jupân played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Askberg in the 51st minute of play. Dumitru Opincaru kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Eugen Jupân showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustav Göransson, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. IKS Norrköping's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dennis Klementsson in the 71st minute. After taking down the ball on IKS Norrköping's corner Dennis Klementsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eugen Jupân quite easily take care of the ball. Eugen Jupân showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Olof Pihlblad in the 76th minute of the match. Filip Kaxe hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 85th match minute, IKS Norrköping was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ove Håning to maneuver through the defense. Pelle Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryszard Borcz in the 87th minute of play. After 93 minutes of play, IKS Norrköping's Gustav Göransson made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugen Jupân was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. DINAMO walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
