Twierdza Osowiec's supporters rose to their feet, but Joško Van Landschoot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roland Backman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Kåge BF's zone, Joško Van Landschoot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland Backman came out of the goal and Joško Van Landschoot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Joško Van Landschoot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 93rd minute Joško Van Landschoot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Backman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
