C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Bäcklin came free, but Guga Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roland Backman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute Mexilhão F. C. were awarded a corner. Germano Siqueira went to the cornerflag to take it. Guga Tavares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lars-Erik Wik in the 9th minute. In the 15th minute Anaia Barba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Backman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 played minutes Kåge BF got a freekick which was hit by Andreas King. Kåge BF's Roland Backman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anaia Barba in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute Anaia Barba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Backman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Kåge BF's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Romero came free, but Roland Backman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andreas King could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Guga Tavares made a huge save. Guga Tavares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Torsten Bäcklin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. After 32 played minutes Mexilhão F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Pirani. In the 36th match minute, Kåge BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Ohara to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anaia Barba in the 37th minute of play forced Kåge BF's goalkeeper Roland Backman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roland Backman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel de Lara in the 42nd minute of the match. Roland Backman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Romero in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Mexilhão F. C. booed when Kåge BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Bäcklin didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Roland Backman made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Germano Siqueira sent off a good shot on target. 51 minutes into the match, Germano Siqueira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roland Backman, 1-1. Torsten Bäcklin hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Janusz Tipinski hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Mexilhão F. C. were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Kåge BF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Germano Siqueira took the corner. Germano Siqueira made a great header on Mexilhão F. C.'s corner, it was just that Kåge BF's Roland Backman managed to reach the ball for a save. Guga Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas King, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anaia Barba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Roland Backman made a huge save. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Abel de Lara sped through Kåge BF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roland Backman. Kåge BF's Andreas King got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kåge BF made a substitution. Jan-Olof Bergman replaced Andreas King. Torsten Bäcklin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronaldinho Romero struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Roland Backman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexilhão F. C.. Germano Siqueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Roland Backman made a huge save. Luca Moți kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When Anaia Barba came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Mexilhão F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anaia Barba couldn't finish the play. Roland Backman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel de Lara in the 95th minute of play. Mexilhão F. C. played a much better game than Kåge BF and deserved their victory. The Kåge BF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
