Ozan Heybetli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute, Ozan Heybetli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guga Tavares was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Guga Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Wichniarek in the 14th minute of the match. Guga Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ozan Heybetli, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ozan Heybetli in the 17th minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Guga Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Germano Siqueira could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Sixten Tunander however easily saved by the left post. Guga Tavares came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Ozan Heybetli. But to his dismay, Ozan Heybetli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 37 minutes into the match, Ozan Heybetli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guga Tavares. Mexilhão F. C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ozan Heybetli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Ozan Heybetli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Guga Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ozan Heybetli in the 44th minute of the match. Abel de Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel de Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Mexilhão F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Abel de Lara. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Guga Tavares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anaia Barba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Abel de Lara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sixten Tunander was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 54th minute, Ozan Heybetli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guga Tavares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. 58 minutes in the game Arthur dos Santos did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Germano Siqueira. Guga Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ozan Heybetli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Ozan Heybetli dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. When Ciriaco Terciero fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Hammarby Sjöstad's protests and gave Ciriaco Terciero a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes FC Hammarby Sjöstad got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Terciero. 71 minutes into the match, FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Ozan Heybetli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guga Tavares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 75 minutes Mexilhão F. C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ciriaco Terciero who took care of the corner kick. Ozan Heybetli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guga Tavares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Abel de Lara hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Guga Tavares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guga Tavares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ozan Heybetli in the 86th minute. If Ozan Heybetli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guga Tavares made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Ozan Heybetli sent off a good shot on target. The Mexilhão F. C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Hammarby Sjöstad's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Hammarby Sjöstad.
