Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Ecija in the 51st minute of play. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Omar Lauren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Pastor Tino replaced Arturo Arano. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Deportivo Balvanera's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emanuel Lucila was slow to take the kick. During this time Despidida AFC's players had a chance to rest. With an all-out effort, Despidida AFC's Omar Lauren threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Toro Martínez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fernando Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Erroman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Lauren came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco. But to his dismay, Emiliano Velasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Toro Martínez was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Erroman in the 94th minute of play. Omar Lauren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Velasco in the 96th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Deportivo Balvanera had won after a very even match.
