In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leones FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Lastur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute of the match Los Delfines got a corner. Leones FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Francisco Ascencio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience was convinced that Lucas Urbez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leopoldo Lastur was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Los Delfines fully deserved thier win.
