After 5 minutes of play, Despidida AFC's Arturo Arano made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leopoldo Lastur was left in no man's land by his defense there! A throw-in in the 8th minute of the game was made by Amado Jordy with Javier Firmo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After some careless play in the Leones FC defense, Toro Martínez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leopoldo Lastur. The Leones FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leopoldo Lastur should have stopped the shot. Leopoldo Lastur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toro Martínez, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toro Martínez in the 13th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Arturo Arano came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Despidida AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Arano couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the game, Toro Martínez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Leopoldo Lastur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fernando Selatse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolas Bizi went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. When Javier Richie fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leones FC's protests and gave Javier Richie a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Leones FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Javier Richie hit a great ball. Leopoldo Lastur came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez. But to his dismay, Toro Martínez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Wilfredo Quinto hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Leopoldo Lastur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toro Martínez's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. The Leones FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Despidida AFC were winning 1-6.

Leopoldo Lastur made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Toro Martínez sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Leones FC defense, Toro Martínez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leopoldo Lastur. The Leones FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leopoldo Lastur should have stopped the shot. In the 56th minute Wilfredo Quinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toro Martínez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Toro Martínez scored 1-8 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leopoldo Lastur, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco was substituted for Toro Martínez. Despidida AFC's Pastor Tino was substituted for Arturo Arano. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Czeslaw Kopacz replaced Ancho Branca. In the 72nd minute, Pastor Tino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Selatse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Asier in the 75th minute of the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Czeslaw Kopacz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Despidida AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Czeslaw Kopacz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emiliano Velasco scored 1-9 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leopoldo Lastur, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Peyo to maneuver through the defense. Leopoldo Lastur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Czeslaw Kopacz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Bizi in the 88th minute of play. In the 93rd minute Martin Asier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despidida AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
