Leopoldo Lastur came out of the goal and Cesar Romildo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kleopas Plouffe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Asier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leopoldo Lastur was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Cesar Romildo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cesar Romildo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Leones FC! Leopoldo Lastur had in the 24thth minute some difficulties stopping Cesar Romildo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Nicolas Bizi hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Romildo came free, but Leopoldo Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Leguizamón might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kleopas Plouffe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnaldo Leguizamón ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Asier in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kleopas Plouffe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gogo Elequemedo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Romildo in the 55th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Defensores de Mar de Ajó's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
