In the 13th minute, Carlos Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Santana in the 16th minute of play forced Amboy FC's goalkeeper Agustin Orion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustin Orion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wojciech Kobeko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Amboy FC defense, Wojciech Kobeko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Agustin Orion. The Amboy FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Agustin Orion should have stopped the shot. Chucky Norris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Chucky Norris however easily saved by the left post. In the 32nd match minute, SAN MARTIN F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Laurendi to maneuver through the defense. After the first half SAN MARTIN F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Eduardo Enol showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. If Ruperto Modestio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wang Hai, 93 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The SAN MARTIN F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SAN MARTIN F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
