The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Håkan Deckbergh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Apelkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The supporters of Hawelka Himalayan High booed when IFK Göteborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfred Valström didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Hawelka Himalayan High's Lars Örtlund slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Håkan Deckbergh. That made the score 4-0 after 29 minutes of play. Håkan Deckbergh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chad Pro, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Bengt-Arne Dahlquist hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Kjell Björnberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bengt-Arne Dahlquist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lars Örtlund scored 6-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Håkan Deckbergh, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jarl Vester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Deckbergh having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Chad Pro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Håkan Deckbergh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Håkan Deckbergh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Örtlund went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. 69 minutes into the game, Ivar Ahlgren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Håkan Deckbergh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 73 minutes into the match, Lars Örtlund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Håkan Deckbergh. IFK Göteborg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lars Örtlund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. IFK Göteborg's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt-Arne Dahlquist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fredrik Bäckström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivar Ahlgren in the 91st minute of play forced IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Håkan Deckbergh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
