The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessio Ascoli got free with Leonard Baran in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leontin Vâlcu in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filippo Barbato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, XMAS's Comunardo Quadrini got a free kick in the 9th minute. The supporters of XMAS booed when FC BaLiSt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manole Secară didn't get a good kick on the ball. The FC BaLiSt fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when FC BaLiSt's Leontin Vâlcu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to XMAS getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Bruno Alessandrini hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Comunardo Quadrini managed to get in a good position for a shot. XMAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Comunardo Quadrini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonard Baran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Leontin Vâlcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to XMAS getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Bruno Alessandrini hit a great ball. Filippo Barbato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leontin Vâlcu in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Leontin Vâlcu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filippo Barbato. XMAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leontin Vâlcu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. XMAS's Filippo Barbato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosmin Dragu in the 42nd minute of play. FC BaLiSt's Emil Șeimeanu got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Leontin Vâlcu came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the FC BaLiSt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leontin Vâlcu couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leontin Vâlcu to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to XMAS getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Comunardo Quadrini hit a great ball. Leontin Vâlcus short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Filippo Barbato to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 62 played minutes XMAS got a freekick which was hit by Comunardo Quadrini. A hard shot 70 in the game by Leontin Vâlcu from a close distance when the talented Filippo Barbato managed to make a qualified save. XMAS's players were relieved. 72 minutes into the game, Ennio De Nardis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Leonard Baran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 78th minute, Cosmin Dragu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. XMAS's Filippo Barbato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save XMAS from getting a goal against them. Comunardo Quadrini struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Leonard Baran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for XMAS. Filippo Barbato was a little too slow when Leontin Vâlcu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leontin Vâlcu in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filippo Barbato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The XMAS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC BaLiSt's performance. The match ended with a win for FC BaLiSt.
