Abel Meira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Abel Meira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro Aversano, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When Alvaro Aversano fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored XMAS's protests and gave Alvaro Aversano a yellow card for diving instead. Alvaro Aversano kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Abel Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Minichiello in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, FC Beatriz 08's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Aversano came free, but Abel Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandre Garcia's late challenge caught a XMAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Ernesto Minichiello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The XMAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Florian Moreschi struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Abel Meira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for XMAS. Abel Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Gianfrancesco in the 44th minute of the match. XMAS's Alvaro Aversano got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half XMAS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernesto Minichiello was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to FC Beatriz 08 getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Álvaro Semedo hit a great ball. Alberigo Gianfrancesco might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abel Meira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberigo Gianfrancesco ran back to his position shaking his head. Ennio De Nardis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Meira having to interfere. Abel Meira was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Alvaro Aversano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alvaro Aversano really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberigo Gianfrancesco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Abel Meira. That made the score 0-4 in the 78 minute of play. Abel Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Gianfrancesco in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Dave Barillari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Garcia in the 92nd minute of play forced XMAS's goalkeeper Armando Polidori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded XMAS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Beatriz 08.
