G A I S's Sixten Ståhlberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eron Velazquez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 55th minute, Brandes Matthes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eron Velazquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthias Bern, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Göran Wahlström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eron Velazquez having to interfere. Cléber Marinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eron Velazquez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cléber Marinho ran back to his position shaking his head. 59 minutes into the match, torpes de iparajema's goal looked a bit too open when Cléber Marinho came free, but Eron Velazquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The G A I S fans cheered their team off the field, for while torpes de iparajema had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
