Taquaritinga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Antapoca FC the free kick. 19 minutes into the game, one of Clube Atl. Taquaritinga:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Haroldo Dante went to the wrong direction when Bonifacio Petri was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 23 played minutes Clube Atl. Taquaritinga got a freekick which was hit by Breno Loyola. In the 24th minute Aristides Favila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haroldo Dante made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Raul Gaizko sent off a good shot on target. Haroldo Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Favila in the 32nd minute of the match. If Nilmar de Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leon Llorenc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antapoca FC's Raul Gaizko managed to work through Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Raul Gaizko dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When Nilmar de Moraes fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's protests and gave Nilmar de Moraes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 48th minute, Nilmar de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raul Gaizko was the one to do the kick off. Aníbal Sá spun around in front of the goal 55 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Antapoca FC's goal. Aníbal Sá's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leon Llorenc firmly grabbed it by the left post. Leon Llorenc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aníbal Sá in the 70th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Varban Pavlikyanov got free with Leon Llorenc in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antapoca FC's Leon Llorenc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar de Moraes in the 77th minute of play. Clube Atl.
