Haroldo Dante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portus Ganda. Portus Ganda's Tony Vanbuyten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Portus Ganda from getting a goal against them. Haroldo Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konrad Knopek, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Konrad Knopek in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haroldo Dante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute, Jüri Djorkaeff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilmar de Moraes in the 44th minute of play forced Portus Ganda's goalkeeper Tony Vanbuyten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Nilmar de Moraes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clube Atl. Taquaritinga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aníbal Sá made a kick off. Florian Mondrowski hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Tony Vanbuyten was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 70 minutes Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jüri Djorkaeff who took care of the corner kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Mike Hoeybroeck advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-2 in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Loyola in the 75th minute of play forced Portus Ganda's goalkeeper Tony Vanbuyten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Breno Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga made a substitution. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
