Ali Artuner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthias Bern in the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th minute G A I S were awarded a corner. Sixten Ståhlberg went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Sixten Ståhlberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ali Artuner quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in G A I S's zone, Martin Øvrebø stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Staffan Eckegren came out of the goal and Martin Øvrebø tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matthias Bern sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 庄卫希 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Staffan Eckegren made a huge save. With a little luck, G A I S's Staffan Eckegren got control of the ball when Martin Øvrebø tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Göran Wahlström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Staffan Eckegren managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when 重庆侠岚队's Martin Øvrebø fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 39 played minutes G A I S got a freekick which was hit by Sixten Ekström. Martin Øvrebø fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Staffan Eckegren having to interfere. Ali Artuner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Bern in the 43rd minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martin Øvrebø to make the kick off. Staffan Eckegren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Øvrebø's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
