In the 45th minute, Rubén Alavedra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Haroldo Dante was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After the first half Clube Atl. Taquaritinga were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubén Alavedra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Varban Pavlikyanov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Varban Pavlikyanov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aníbal Sá got free with Eron Velazquez in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eron Velazquez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Lima went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. In the 58th minute of the match, Aníbal Sá tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eron Velazquez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eron Velazquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clodio Treviño charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clodio Treviño the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aníbal Sá in the 66th managed to get into a good position. Thanks to some nice moves David Lima could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Eron Velazquez however easily saved by the left post. Aníbal Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eron Velazquez having to interfere. Clube Atl. If Aníbal Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 90th minute, Clube Atl. During the 94th minute of the match Clodio Treviño completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Clodio Treviño a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Aníbal Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
