After a defensive mix-up in Antapoca FC's zone, Matthias Bern stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Llorenc came out of the goal and Matthias Bern tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aristides Favila struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Staffan Eckegren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Antapoca FC. In the 25th minute, Cléber Marinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leon Llorenc was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. John Jernberg hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Staffan Eckegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Gaizko in the 30th minute of play. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Aristides Favila sped through G A I S's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Staffan Eckegren. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raul Gaizko in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Staffan Eckegren saved G A I S from getting behind. Matthias Bern came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Leon Llorenc could save by the left post. In the 38th minute of the match G A I S got a corner. Antapoca FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sixten Ståhlberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Staffan Eckegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Gaizko in the 44th minute of the match. Raul Gaizko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 48 minutes into the game, Antapoca FC's Aristides Favila nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Staffan Eckegren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2.

The wind increased when Raul Gaizko made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baba Baba during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Baba Baba kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Antapoca FC's Bonifacio Petri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Staffan Eckegren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthias Bern in the 78th minute of play forced Antapoca FC's goalkeeper Leon Llorenc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raul Gaizko got free with Staffan Eckegren in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Matthias Bern recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 96 played minutes G A I S got a freekick which was hit by Baba Baba. Hernan Lucero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Antapoca FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
