After a rather tough play, IFK Göteborg's Olle Ekström got a free kick in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Beqir Kapaj had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Håkan Deckbergh. IFK Göteborg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beqir Kapaj was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ylli Sulejmani kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Matthias Ahlstedt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IFK Göteborg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 18 minutes into the game, Bengt-Arne Dahlquist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Enjel Zogu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Murat Korani took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Håkan Deckbergh. Håkan Deckbergh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Enjel Zogu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthias Ahlstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as UnikKatiL Bloody Alboz's Klime Kumbulla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Håkan Deckbergh. That made the score 3-2 after 30 minutes of play. Håkan Deckbergh made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Klime Kumbulla sent off a good shot on target. Kjell Björnberg hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Çimi Panajoti hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. If Bengt-Arne Dahlquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 played minutes UnikKatiL Bloody Alboz got a freekick which was hit by Labinot Ibrahimi. Enjel Zogu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthias Ahlstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, IFK Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Redon Berisha came free, but Håkan Deckbergh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bengt-Arne Dahlquist made a kick off. In the 51st minute Beqir Kapaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Deckbergh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enjel Zogu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt-Arne Dahlquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Manfred Valström fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Göteborg's protests and gave Manfred Valström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, one of IFK Göteborg:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for IFK Göteborg. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Idlir Blacëri put in a rough tackle. Manfred Valström didn't quite understand what happened when in the 88 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Håkan Deckbergh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murat Korani in the 92nd minute of the match. If Matthias Ahlstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 97 minutes, Matthias Ahlstedt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IFK Göteborg and the UnikKatiL Bloody Alboz players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 99 played minutes IFK Göteborg got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Ahlstedt. For all the effort they put into the match, the IFK Göteborg players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for UnikKatiL Bloody Alboz.
