Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mauricio Manuelo kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Rengifo in the 4th minute of play forced Talleres's goalkeeper Cecilio Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cecilio Lastur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Rengifo in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th match minute, Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Martínez to maneuver through the defense. Cecilio Lastur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergio Rengifo's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute Talleres were awarded a corner. Perico Pérez went to the cornerflag to take it. Cordero Trielles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo Tab in the 17th minute. Talleres were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Sporting Buceo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Perico Pérez took the corner. Cordero Trielles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Manuelo in the 27th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauricio Manuelo got free with Cordero Trielles in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mauricio Manuelo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Cordero Trielles made a huge save. 36 minutes into the match, Sporting Buceo's goalkeeper Cordero Trielles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Tab. Cordero Trielles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Manuelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 45 played minutes Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Tab. Alfredo Tab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Cordero Trielles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Talleres made a substitution. Izydor Bugajski replaced Perico Pérez. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Alfredo Tab managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Tab was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cordero Trielles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute of the match Sporting Buceo got a corner. Talleres's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gutierrre Valseca ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Mauricio Manuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cordero Trielles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the match, Talleres's goalkeeper Cecilio Lastur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergio Rengifo. Cordero Trielles came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Talleres's Alfredo Tab. But to his dismay, Alfredo Tab quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Sporting Buceo's Deunoro Hinojosa got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute of the match Jorge Martínez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cordero Trielles showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sporting Buceo's Sergio Rengifo got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Sporting Buceo's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Tab came free, but Cordero Trielles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cordero Trielles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Tab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergio Rengifo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cecilio Lastur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. A collision led to Talleres getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Alfredo Tab hit a great ball. There was no doubt that Talleres were the better team. Talleres's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
