Porfiro Catalan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vicit FC's Pedro Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Gaspar in the 21st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nélson Sousa got free with Pedro Mazza in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Nélson Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as AMLUCHO's Isidro Oliviero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Mazza. That made the score 3-0 after 27 minutes of play. With a little luck, Vicit FC's Pedro Mazza got control of the ball when Nélson Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tebaldo Comas in the 34th minute of play forced AMLUCHO's goalkeeper Selahaddin Esentürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nélson Sousa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Pedro Mazza made a huge save. In the 43rd minute Isidro Oliviero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Pedro Fontes hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isidro Oliviero to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ştefan Șerbulea in the 54th minute of the match. If Vasco Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 played minutes Vicit FC got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Fernandez. 91 minutes into the match, AMLUCHO's Isidro Oliviero broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience was convinced that Ştefan Șerbulea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Mazza was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game.
