The audience was convinced that Andrzej Badanowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Mazza was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. If Andrzej Badanowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. Pedro Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrzej Badanowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Vicit FC's Pedro Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Abrahamsson in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Andrzej Badanowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Linköpings AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 80 minutes Linköpings AIK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alfredinho Tasso who took care of the corner kick. Marbjörn Garpsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Linköpings AIK's players had a chance to rest. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Jan-Erik Lundqvist got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-0. 85 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, Arvid Carlsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Mazza. Vicit FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arvid Carlsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. A collision led to Vicit FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Zé Pedro Leal hit a great ball. Vicit FC's Pedro Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arvid Carlsson in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vicit FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Linköpings AIK.
