A collision led to Real Södertälje getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Joar Tunström hit a great ball. Kent Berggren was a little too slow when Ingemar Stålman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Ingemar Stålman took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Kent Berggren to make any attempt to save it. Kent Berggren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Sundin went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 15 played minutes Hermanö Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Holmberg. Kent Berggren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orvar Stenquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 25 minutes of play, Hermanö Oilers's Ingemar Stålman made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kent Berggren was left in no man's land by his defense there! 28 minutes into the match, Real Södertälje's goal looked a bit too open when Ingemar Stålman came free, but Kent Berggren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Leonardo Sundin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kent Berggren. The goal made the score 5-0. Leonardo Sundin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Berggren having to interfere. Orvar Stenquist took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kent Berggren. Kent Berggren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Orvar Stenquist took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kent Berggren. Kent Berggren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. 46 minutes into the match, Ingemar Stålman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kent Berggren, 9-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 9-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ingemar Stålman was the one to do the kick off. Real Södertälje's Kent Berggren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sonny Åkesson in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Real Södertälje's goal looked a bit too open when Ingemar Stålman came free, but Kent Berggren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 played minutes Hermanö Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Ingemar Stålman. Ingemar Stålman took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kent Berggren. Kent Berggren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. Orvar Stenquist scored 11-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kent Berggren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sonny Åkesson charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sonny Åkesson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sonny Åkesson kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Ingemar Stålman took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kent Berggren. Kent Berggren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. After having played for 71 minutes, Ingemar Stålman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hermanö Oilers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingemar Stålman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute, Ted Ström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Orvar Stenquist made a precise shot to the right of Kent Berggren. Real Södertälje's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 13-0. Orvar Stenquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Kent Berggren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kent Berggren came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Hermanö Oilers's Leonardo Sundin. But to his dismay, Leonardo Sundin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 14-0. Kent Berggren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orvar Stenquist in the 87th minute of play. After some careless play in the Real Södertälje defense, Leonardo Sundin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kent Berggren. The Real Södertälje fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kent Berggren should have stopped the shot. If Ingemar Stålman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 96th minute, Leonardo Sundin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kent Berggren was frozen by the shot and now it was 16-0. There was no doubt that Hermanö Oilers were the better team. Hermanö Oilers's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
