In the 12th minute of the match, Octavian Caragea got a very nice opportunity to score, but Laurens Oosterman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jouke Jacobs kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th match minute, De Pelgrims was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donny van Schaik to maneuver through the defense. Octavian Caragea struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Laurens Oosterman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BVB 09. In the 20th minute, Lucjan Drugi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zygmunt Koprowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Ginneken in the 37th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's Kurt Ginneken sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zygmunt Koprowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jasper Staarman to make the kick off. Octavian Caragea kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Zygmunt Koprowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jasper Staarman in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to BVB 09 getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Codruț Filimon hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in BVB 09's zone, Herman Craandijk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zygmunt Koprowski came out of the goal and Herman Craandijk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 54 played minutes De Pelgrims got a freekick which was hit by Tonnie Ter. 63 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Caragea came free, but Laurens Oosterman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laurens Oosterman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avram Iurea, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Avram Iurea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurens Oosterman was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. De Pelgrims's Laurens Oosterman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavian Caragea in the 77th minute of play. Codruț Filimon's late challenge caught a De Pelgrims's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the referee ended the match the BVB 09 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
