Kent Berggren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carson Sherrill showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 31 minute of play. After some careless play in the Zamalek FC defense, Alfredo Stefano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Merlin Dolan. The Zamalek FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Merlin Dolan should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredo Stefano made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Alfredo Stefano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Merlin Dolan. Alfredo Stefano scored 1-5 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Merlin Dolan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 64 minutes into the game, Malcolm Neal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Kent Berggren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zinedine Zidan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Merlin Dolan having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Wiktor Söderqwist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Södertälje's supporters rose to their feet, but Wiktor Söderqwist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trinidad Pruitt hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Real Södertälje had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
