A sloppy throw-in by Arthur dos Santos in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Real Södertälje's Reynaldo Cerezo. After 20 played minutes Real Södertälje got a freekick which was hit by Bennvar Nickler. After having played for 25 minutes, Bennvar Nickler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Södertälje's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bennvar Nickler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Real Södertälje's goal looked a bit too open when Anaia Barba came free, but Carsten Eckstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rikard Wolff came free, but Guga Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Bennvar Nickler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guga Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bennvar Nickler in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guga Tavares saved Mexilhão F. C. from getting behind. The referee showed Conny Komen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mexilhão F. C. booed when Real Södertälje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conny Komen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anaia Barba made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Bennvar Nickler put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Guga Tavares. Real Södertälje's Birger Hedberg was substituted for Rikard Wolff. 60 minutes into the match, Real Södertälje's Bennvar Nickler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guga Tavares narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
