In the 4th match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anaia Barba to maneuver through the defense. Guga Tavares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Perivaldo Eger's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Perivaldo Eger in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guga Tavares saved Mexilhão F. C. from getting behind. Guga Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias de Ruijter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Mexilhão F. C.'s Guga Tavares got control of the ball when Perivaldo Eger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mike Zoetmulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson Recife in the 20th minute of the match. Mexilhão F. C.'s Guga Tavares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Mexilhão F. C. from getting a goal against them. 24 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Anaia Barba came free, but Mike Zoetmulder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, De Pelgrims's Perivaldo Eger ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Guga Tavares. Guga Tavares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 31st minute, Mathias de Ruijter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's Perivaldo Eger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guga Tavares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anaia Barba in the 36th minute of play forced De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Mike Zoetmulder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mike Zoetmulder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fu Peng Feng was slow to take the kick. During this time De Pelgrims's players had a chance to rest. Henk Cardinaal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo Eger in the 64th minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Guga Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Mike Zoetmulder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edson Recife. But to his dismay, Fu Peng Feng quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Mathias de Ruijter kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Guga Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Eger in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to Mexilhão F. C. getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. 方城震 hit a great ball. Edson Recife's late challenge caught a De Pelgrims's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edson Recife helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes Mexilhão F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Edson Recife. Mexilhão F. C.'s Tony Angelsø suffered a sore thigh after 98 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henk Cardinaal during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 98 played minutes De Pelgrims got a freekick which was hit by Henk Cardinaal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. De Pelgrims had won after a very even match.
