The audience thought a goal was coming when Henning Eriksson got free with Guga Tavares in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 65 minutes, Abel de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexilhão F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel de Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loco Martin in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guga Tavares saved Mexilhão F. C. from getting behind. In the 71st minute of the match FC Jamala got a corner. Mexilhão F. C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amador Ishmael ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mexilhão F. C.'s Guga Tavares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Mexilhão F. C. from getting a goal against them. The supporters of FC Jamala booed when Mexilhão F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Herena didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute of the match, Renátó Csernyi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Guga Tavares was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 83 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Loco Martin came free, but Guga Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henning Eriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Renátó Csernyis short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Guga Tavares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 92 minutes into the game, Abel de Lara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexilhão F. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Jamala the free kick. In the 92nd match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel de Lara to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the game, Loco Martin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guga Tavares. Loco Martin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Jamala had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
