In the 6th match minute, Universitario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iraido Arnaez to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Marcelo Rocio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matro Perramon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Universitario getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Karlo Gavilanes hit a great ball. Andy Somellera struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Roque Montes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universitario. In the 20th minute, Benicio Innocenzio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 21 minutes, Andy Somellera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Universitario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andy Somellera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matro Perramon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Rocio in the 27th minute of the match. Universitario's Matro Perramon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Ilixo in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Timo! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benicio Innocenzio to maneuver through the defense. Universitario's Erasto Tella shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 33rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Roque Montes but with some difficulty. A hard shot by Andy Somellera from long distance, 35 minutes into the match, got Roque Montes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With an all-out effort, Universitario's Roque Montes threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guillen Mijangos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Urbano Chorche took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matro Perramon. Matro Perramon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andy Somellera made a kick off. A collision led to Timo! getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Rogelio Lope hit a great ball. In the 54th minute of the match Cristobal Agranja sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roque Montes skillfully saved the ball. In the 63rd minute, Vidal Cantabrana made a precise shot to the right of Roque Montes. Timo!'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After 68 played minutes Timo! got a freekick which was hit by Saul Donzel. 70 minutes into the match, Timo!'s goal looked a bit too open when Geleberto Acaro came free, but Roque Montes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faustino Arano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Matro Perramon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Timo! got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Arano. Garcia Gorostieta hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Rene Ilixo got in the 82nd minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Matro Perramon and thus it was 2-3. Matro Perramon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Arano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Vidal Cantabrana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rene Ilixo in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matro Perramon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vidal Cantabrana during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vidal Cantabrana hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Marcelo Rocio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Matro Perramon made a huge save. After 95 played minutes Universitario got a freekick which was hit by Andy Somellera. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Universitario's goalkeeper Matro Perramon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Universitario supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Timo!'s performance. The match ended with a win for Timo!.
