Gustaf Olofsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Wyoming Cowboys booed when Hermanö Oilers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Vassenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Hermanö Oilers's Gustaf Olofsson threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Olof Granqvist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nils Alén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Åhlberg in the 35th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Hermanö Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Emil Wallgren. In the 38th minute, Leo Pihlwall left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wyoming Cowboys fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.
The wind increased when Sven-Edvin Karlberg made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Wyoming Cowboys getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Anton Finnman hit a great ball. Gustaf Olofsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Larsfält's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Bo Malmgren's late challenge caught a Hermanö Oilers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermanö Oilers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Wyoming Cowboys's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Wallgren came free, but Gustaf Olofsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute Benjamin Larsfält shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaf Olofsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Sven-Edvin Karlberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustaf Olofsson.
