Norberd Valentík made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Roland Záhoran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roque Montes. Timo!'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roland Záhoran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Jozef Humeník got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 17th minute, Rene Ilixo made a precise shot to the right of Norberd Valentík. AFK Petržalka's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The supporters of AFK Petržalka booed when Timo! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Ilixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Rene Ilixo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Norberd Valentík. AFK Petržalka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rene Ilixo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Norberd Valentík showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Rocio in the 27th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, AFK Petržalka's Roland Záhoran ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roque Montes. Roque Montes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. In the 36th minute, Faustino Arano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Norberd Valentík was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. In the 38th match minute, Timo! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipolito Indartsu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Arano in the 41st minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Norberd Valentík to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norberd Valentík took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Ilixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norberd Valentík showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Rocio in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half Timo! were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Peter Hvižďák hit a great ball. With a little luck, AFK Petržalka's Norberd Valentík got control of the ball when Rene Ilixo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Záhoran in the 56th minute of play forced Timo!'s goalkeeper Roque Montes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFK Petržalka's Norberd Valentík played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Arano in the 58th minute of play. With a little luck, AFK Petržalka's Norberd Valentík got control of the ball when Rene Ilixo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Záhoran in the 67th minute of play forced Timo!'s goalkeeper Roque Montes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 minutes, Urbano Chorche mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Timo! and the AFK Petržalka players grew even worse after the yellow card. AFK Petržalka made a substitution. Tibor Kavecký replaced Lukáš Gernát. In the 69th minute, Urbano Chorche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Juraj Poliovka hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Curcio in the 75th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Norberd Valentík to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Roland Záhoran came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the AFK Petržalka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roland Záhoran couldn't finish the play. Rene Ilixo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Norberd Valentík came out and tried to block the shot, but Rene Ilixo slotted it home off the left post making it 3-5 in the 94th minute. Timo!'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
