An unexpectedly hard shot by Wu Mo in the 23rd minute of play forced Tirant lo Blanch's goalkeeper Kamal Pahlevi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Los Galacticos were awarded a corner. Xiao Jian Bo went to the cornerflag to take it. Tirant lo Blanch's Dabi Barba quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Witomir Lampa, made in the 29th minute of the game. Zhuo Xu Xi was a little too slow when Leonard Treppa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-0. Leonard Treppa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zhuo Xu Xi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Los Galacticos's zone, Leonard Treppa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zhuo Xu Xi came out of the goal and Leonard Treppa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kamal Pahlevi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xiao Jian Bo in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonard Treppa made a kick off. Witomir Lampa's late challenge caught a Tirant lo Blanch's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Witomir Lampa helped the player get up and apologised. Witomir Lampa hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Los Galacticos's zone, Leonard Treppa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zhuo Xu Xi came out of the goal and Leonard Treppa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonard Treppa might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zhuo Xu Xi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonard Treppa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 59th minute Leonard Treppa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zhuo Xu Xi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Los Galacticos's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Treppa came free, but Zhuo Xu Xi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Galacticos's goalkeeper Zhuo Xu Xi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's Leonard Treppa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zhuo Xu Xi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kamal Pahlevi made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Wu Mo sent off a good shot on target. Wu Mo got the audience’s attention when, from a short distance, he fired away a great shot in the 73rd minute of the game. The shot hit the left post and bounced out. After having played for 81 minutes, Carmen Paniagua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tirant lo Blanch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carmen Paniagua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carmen Paniagua's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zhuo Xu Xi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Jiang Ang Xiao left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Galacticos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Zhuo Xu Xi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carmen Paniagua went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. In the 99th minute, Carmen Paniagua left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tirant lo Blanch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tirant lo Blanch fully deserved thier win.
