The audience thought a goal was coming when Dušan Vlahovic got free with Arnold Szuper in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnold Szuper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dušan Vlahovic, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Fedele Giampieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tivadar Demeter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tivadar Demeter in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fedele Giampieri saved Radnicki 1923 Kg-Stars™ from getting behind. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Radnicki 1923 Kg-Stars™'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bai Jun Chong was slow to take the kick. During this time Szombathely Squirrels's players had a chance to rest. Szombathely Squirrels's Bai Jun Chong was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fedele Giampieri in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 31 minutes into the game, Szombathely Squirrels's Tivadar Demeter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fedele Giampieri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Radnicki 1923 Kg-Stars™'s zone, Tivadar Demeter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fedele Giampieri came out of the goal and Tivadar Demeter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute, Tivadar Demeter made a precise shot to the right of Fedele Giampieri. Radnicki 1923 Kg-Stars™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tivadar Demeter to make the kick off. Tivadar Demeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 63 minutes, Amanda Almqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Szombathely Squirrels's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amanda Almqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Szombathely Squirrels's Lei Jian Xiong was substituted for Tivadar Demeter. Arnold Szuper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dušan Vlahovic in the 65th minute of play. Arnold Szuper came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Radnicki 1923 Kg-Stars™'s Gu Zhan Qiang. But to his dismay, Gu Zhan Qiang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Lei Jian Xiong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fedele Giampieri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Arnold Szuper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dušan Vlahovic's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. The audience was convinced that Dušan Vlahovic's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnold Szuper was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 77th minute, Szombathely Squirrels's Lei Jian Xiong ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fedele Giampieri. Fedele Giampieri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. With a little luck, Radnicki 1923 Kg-Stars™'s Fedele Giampieri got control of the ball when Lei Jian Xiong tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnold Szuper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavril Stoican, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lei Jian Xiong scored 2-5 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fedele Giampieri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Szombathely Squirrels had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
