Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Mexilhão F. C.'s Anaia Barba started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldinho Romero got free with José Maria Branco in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bem Bolado's José Maria Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anaia Barba in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute Marcel Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guga Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Maria Branco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Germano Siqueira in the 13th minute. The audience was convinced that Anaia Barba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Maria Branco was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Bem Bolado were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Mexilhão F. C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcel Sanches took the corner. After 18 played minutes Bem Bolado got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Mandrak. José Maria Branco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Germano Siqueira in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Bem Bolado's Francisco Alves got a free kick in the 20th minute. José Maria Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anaia Barba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the game, Mexilhão F. C.'s Anaia Barba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Maria Branco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Ronaldinho Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Abel de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelinho do Valle hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Carlos Augusto Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, José Maria Branco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 36th minute Marcelinho do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guga Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel de Lara scored 2-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Maria Branco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Germano Siqueiras short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got José Maria Branco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 43rd minute, Nelson Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcel Sanches took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Guga Tavares. Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Germano Siqueira struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. José Maria Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexilhão F. C.. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcel Sanches made a kick off. Guga Tavares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcel Sanches's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. José Maria Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Romero in the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st match minute, Bem Bolado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Turabi Paksan to maneuver through the defense. Bem Bolado's Augusto Mesquita was substituted for José Carlos Siqueira. In the 69th minute, Germano Siqueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A throw-in in the 71st minute of the game was made by Arthur dos Santos with Germano Siqueira as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Carlos Augusto Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Turabi Paksan hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Bem Bolado's José Maria Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel de Lara in the 75th minute of play. When Abel de Lara came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Mexilhão F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel de Lara couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, Bem Bolado's goal looked a bit too open when Anaia Barba came free, but José Maria Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcel Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 80 played minutes Bem Bolado got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo de Senna. An unexpectedly hard shot by Germano Siqueira in the 83rd minute of play forced Bem Bolado's goalkeeper José Maria Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bem Bolado's Marcel Sanches got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Bem Bolado getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Turabi Paksan hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, William Guerreiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Maria Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anaia Barba in the 93rd minute of play. Mexilhão F. C.'s Guga Tavares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Mexilhão F. C. from getting a goal against them. When the referee ended the match the Mexilhão F. C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
