After 36 played minutes Hahay got a freekick which was hit by Walery Roman. In the 40th minute Gualter Gulak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Espen Granerud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Espen Granerud had great luck who in the 41stth minute grab hold of the ball when Gualter Gulak from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jataiense Futebol Clube's Sem Titulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witalis Tamulewicz in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolás Castillo to make the kick off. The tension between the Jataiense Futebol Clube and the Hahay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Espen Granerud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Urbes in the 95th minute of play. Jataiense Futebol Clube's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
