The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ivar Albohm stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dumitru Opincaru's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. With a little luck, DINAMO's Romeo Iovanovici got control of the ball when David Nyman tried to sneak it across the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, DINAMO's goal looked a bit too open when David Nyman came free, but Romeo Iovanovici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeo Iovanovici made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Giga Mønster sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giga Mønster got free with Romeo Iovanovici in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in DINAMO's zone, Giga Mønster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Iovanovici came out of the goal and Giga Mønster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivar Albohm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Zburliş, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Giga Mønster's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Romeo Iovanovici skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 25 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goal looked a bit too open when Dumitru Opincaru came free, but Ivar Albohm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeo Iovanovici made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Giga Mønster sent off a good shot on target. Giga Mønster could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Romeo Iovanovici made a huge save. Strömsbro IF were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after DINAMO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ludvig Wennersten took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ludvig Wennersten got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Romeo Iovanovici quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. DINAMO's Romeo Iovanovici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Nyman in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Strömsbro IF booed when DINAMO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryszard Borcz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goal looked a bit too open when Dumitru Opincaru came free, but Ivar Albohm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Nyman was the one to do the kick off. Giga Mønster blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romeo Iovanovici having to make a save. In the 51st minute Giga Mønster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Iovanovici saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giga Mønster in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeo Iovanovici saved DINAMO from getting behind. After a rather tough play, DINAMO's Remus Elisei got a free kick in the 56th minute. After a defensive mix-up in DINAMO's zone, Giga Mønster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Iovanovici came out of the goal and Giga Mønster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Giga Mønster managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strömsbro IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Giga Mønster was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeo Iovanovici breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 63 played minutes DINAMO got a freekick which was hit by Remus Elisei. 66 minutes into the game, Strömsbro IF's Giga Mønster nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romeo Iovanovici made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Strömsbro IF's Birger Sävström was substituted for Giga Mønster. In the 70th minute, Remus Elisei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Iovanovici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenny Liljeström in the 75th minute of the match. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by DINAMO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Harry Blom was slow to take the kick. During this time Strömsbro IF's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Strömsbro IF's corner Harry Blom fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Romeo Iovanovici quite easily take care of the ball. After 78 minutes, Birger Sävström made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. DINAMO's Romeo Iovanovici tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivar Albohm was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dumitru Opincaru showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 81 minute of play. DINAMO's Dumitru Opincaru got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Birger Sävström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Remus Elisei hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Strömsbro IF were victorious despite being under pressure from DINAMO for much of the match.
