Pankracy Glogowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Fabio Artaldo hit a great ball. Karol Panasewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Glogowski having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Karol Panasewicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 15 minutes, Fabio Artaldo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Atlanta and the Blue Mountain State players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Artaldo. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Atlético Atlanta! In the 21st minute Marcos Berdoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Sharma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Panasewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blue Mountain State were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Club Atlético Atlanta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Afşar Uçuk took the corner. The corner ended in Afşar Uçuk almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski did a great save. Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Faria in the 34th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Karol Panasewicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Pankracy Glogowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pankracy Glogowski came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Blue Mountain State's Karol Panasewicz. But to his dismay, Karol Panasewicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Robin Sharma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Caradaro in the 41st minute of play. Remigio Erramu kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Robin Sharma made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Paolo Caradaro sent off a good shot on target. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The wind increased when Şevket Çağa made the kick off in the second half. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Panasewicz in the 51st minute of play. After taking down the ball on Blue Mountain State's corner Dino Berardino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pankracy Glogowski quite easily take care of the ball. Lionel-Andrés Messi took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pankracy Glogowski. In the 76th match minute, Blue Mountain State was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herensuge Colomes to maneuver through the defense. Lionel-Andrés Messi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Pankracy Glogowski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 84thth minute of the game Lionel-Andrés Messi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Lionel-Andrés Messi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blue Mountain State's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lionel-Andrés Messi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robin Sharma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şevket Çağa, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Lionel-Andrés Messi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blue Mountain State fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. The Blue Mountain State supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Blue Mountain State would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
