Afşar Uçuk was slow to take the kick. During this time Blue Mountain State's players had a chance to rest. In the 24thth minute of the game Karol Panasewicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esmeralda AFC's Jorge Armani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, David Banegas notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Blue Mountain State's Robin Sharma. Robin Sharma was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jorge Armani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karol Panasewicz in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30thth minute of the game Eloy Calvino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blue Mountain State's Robin Sharma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorge Armani made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Karol Panasewicz sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute of the game Aquilino Quinten made a throw-in which Eloy Calvino played forward. In the 37th minute, David Banegas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esmeralda AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 41st match minute, Esmeralda AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Quinten to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Armani was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Karol Panasewicz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Karol Panasewicz really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrew Dalli to make the kick off. Jorge Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Panasewicz in the 54th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Robin Sharma successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 56 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Calvino came free, but Robin Sharma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Esmeralda AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Quinten to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karol Panasewicz in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Armani saved Esmeralda AFC from getting behind. Esmeralda AFC:s Jorge Armani showed great skill when he stopped Afşar Uçuk:s penalty. In the 72nd minute, Karol Panasewicz made a precise shot to the right of Jorge Armani. Esmeralda AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Blue Mountain State's Dino Berardino was substituted for Aykut Aşkın. 77 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goal looked a bit too open when Zülfü Sungur came free, but Robin Sharma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 78th minute of play. Jorge Armani came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Blue Mountain State's Lionel-Andrés Messi. But to his dismay, Lionel-Andrés Messi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. After 90 minutes Esmeralda AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Afşar Uçuk who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Yaser Oğuzman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jorge Armani quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Esmeralda AFC's Zülfü Sungur got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicasio Fondas short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Robin Sharma to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zülfü Sungur got free with Robin Sharma in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lionel-Andrés Messi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Armani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. Blue Mountain State were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Esmeralda AFC for a fine match.
