Spectators: 7290 (Terracing: 5469, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 145) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hermínio Pinheiro got the match started through his kick off. Adriano Ribeiro took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdemar Câmara. Valdemar Câmara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as The Obscurials's Adriano Ribeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valdemar Câmara. That made the score 2-0 after 9 minutes of play. Adriano Ribeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdemar Câmara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Paulo Ferreira in the 20th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by The Obscurials's Virgílio Bezerra. The crowd rose to their feet as The Obscurials's Adriano Ribeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valdemar Câmara. That made the score 3-0 after 22 minutes of play. After 25 played minutes The Obscurials got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Ribeiro. Valdemar Câmara came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by The Obscurials's Adriano Ribeiro. But to his dismay, Adriano Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After 35 minutes, Jorge Sabrosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Paços de Ferreira and the The Obscurials players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, F.C. Paços de Ferreira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Sabrosa to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute Adriano Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Câmara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute Hermínio Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Safet Hands saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriano Ribeiro took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdemar Câmara. Valdemar Câmara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Anders Westerstrand made the kick off in the second half. The Obscurials's Anton Kjellkvist managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ronaldo Madureira in the 51 minute of the game. After 57 minutes of play, The Obscurials's Adriano Ribeiro made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdemar Câmara was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valdemar Câmara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anders Westerstrand's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. The supporters of F.C. Paços de Ferreira booed when The Obscurials was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson Wright didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nelson Wright hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Valdemar Câmara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Ribeiro in the 70th minute of play. In the 76th minute Adriano Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Câmara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 minutes, Adriano Ribeiro made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Valdemar Câmara tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88thth minute of the game Adriano Ribeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Valdemar Câmara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adriano Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdemar Câmara having to make a save. Safet Hands was a little too slow when Hermínio Pinheiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 8-1.

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. The Obscurials had won after a very even match.
