Natalio Gergori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the game, Cura del Futbol's Natalio Gergori nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Meho Vehidović made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Cura del Futbol's Jiang Lei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco van Basten in the 10th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Babbis Aggeliadis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jiang Lei was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 18th match minute, Cura del Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Loramendi to maneuver through the defense. Cura del Futbol's Jiang Lei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco van Basten in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Babbis Aggeliadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiang Lei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sanderlend booed when Cura del Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Lain didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Mufid Kostić sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jiang Lei skillfully saved the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Sanderlend's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Gergori came free, but Meho Vehidović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Babbis Aggeliadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiang Lei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Babbis Aggeliadis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute of the match, Natalio Gergori tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Meho Vehidović saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jiang Lei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babbis Aggeliadis, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Cura del Futbol's Jiang Lei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Babbis Aggeliadis in the 41st minute of play. Jiang Lei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco van Basten in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Babbis Aggeliadis was the one to do the kick off. Marco van Basten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Jiang Lei made a huge save. Natalio Gergori scored 2-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Meho Vehidović, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th match minute, Cura del Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Erasto to maneuver through the defense. Jiang Lei acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bilal Lizde. Meho Vehidović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Gergori in the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babbis Aggeliadis in the 81st minute of play forced Cura del Futbol's goalkeeper Jiang Lei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Raul Abadia in the 85th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sanderlend's Halil Šakić. Marco van Basten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Jiang Lei made a huge save.

The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cura del Futbol fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sanderlend had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
