Lucio Eduino in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Morten Ueland, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice moves Ubaldo Benitez could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Morten Ueland however easily saved by the left post. In the 22nd minute, Charmander City's Lucio Eduino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Morten Ueland. Morten Ueland yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Alberto Erlantz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stian Systad in the 25th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Jim Thorvaldsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cheeky Nuts United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charmander City the free kick. In the 33rd match minute, Cheeky Nuts United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Thorvaldsen to maneuver through the defense. Kent Milde hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Alberto Erlantz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ken Nordtveit in the 41st minute of the match. After 43 minutes Charmander City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Øyvind Vestøl who took care of the corner kick. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ubaldo Benitez to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 50 minutes, Guaberto Calisto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Charmander City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guaberto Calisto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cheeky Nuts United:s Morten Ueland showed great skill when he stopped Ubaldo Benitez:s penalty. In the 61st minute Guaberto Calisto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morten Ueland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stian Systad got free with Alberto Erlantz in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 65 minutes into the match, Cheeky Nuts United's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Eduino came free, but Morten Ueland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charmander City's Rodrigo Qwinton was substituted for Robustiano Olivar. Charmander City's Benito Papo was substituted for Guaberto Calisto. In the 68th minute, Generoso Mendebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81stth minute of the game Ubaldo Benitez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cheeky Nuts United's Morten Ueland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Charmander City getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Pedro Tello hit a great ball. Charmander City's Alberto Cloyo was substituted for Lucio Eduino. The referee's whistle sounded for the end of the second half. The match was tied at 1-1. None of the players looked happy at the prospect of extra-time.

After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. Cheeky Nuts United's Stian Systad started the play with the initial kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benito Papo in the 101st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Morten Ueland saved Cheeky Nuts United from getting behind. Ubaldo Benitez kicked well hit freekick during the 106th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ubaldo Benitez got free with Morten Ueland in the 110th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 111th minute Alberto Cloyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morten Ueland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cheeky Nuts United's Stian Hammeren got a good chance for a goal in the 114th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Both sets of players were looking tired when the whistle went to end the half. Everyone was pleased to get a few minutes to rest before extra-time resumed.

Everyone could clearly see that both Charmander City's and Cheeky Nuts United's players was becoming tired in their legs when Charmander City's Ubaldo Benitez did the kick off in the second half of the overtime. 119 minutes into the match, Alberto Cloyo notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Cheeky Nuts United's Morten Ueland. Morten Ueland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Charmander City's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
