The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldinho Romero got free with Magno Botelho in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guga Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rusi Moskal, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 23rd minute, Cleiton Seco made a precise shot to the right of Guga Tavares. Mexilhão F. C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Belisca Xana Sport Club ®'s zone, Abel de Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magno Botelho came out of the goal and Abel de Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the match, Ronaldinho Romero dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Magno Botelho, 2-1. Guga Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute Nestor Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guga Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rusi Moskal to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Belisca Xana Sport Club ® defense, Anaia Barba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magno Botelho. The Belisca Xana Sport Club ® fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magno Botelho should have stopped the shot. After 57 played minutes Mexilhão F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Abel de Lara. After 61 minutes of play, Mexilhão F. C.'s Ronaldinho Romero made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Magno Botelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Manoel Pernambucano's late challenge caught a Mexilhão F. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manoel Pernambucano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Belisca Xana Sport Club ®'s Rui Cavalcante got a free kick in the 70th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anaia Barba in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Magno Botelho saved Belisca Xana Sport Club ® from getting behind. In the 72nd match minute, Belisca Xana Sport Club ® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleiton Seco to maneuver through the defense. Germano Siqueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Magno Botelho. Belisca Xana Sport Club ®'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 75th minute, Agostinho Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Anaia Barba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th minute Germano Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magno Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magno Botelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anaia Barba in the 86th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rusi Moskal in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guga Tavares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guga Tavares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rusi Moskal's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After having played for 93 minutes, Manoel Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belisca Xana Sport Club ®'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Manoel Pernambucano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mexilhão F. C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
