Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernando Marinho in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastián Torrico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Kuno Lüdimõis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Marinho in the 21st minute of play forced C.F.Fuenlabrada's goalkeeper Sebastián Torrico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquilino Luke who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Kuno Lüdimõis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. C.F.Fuenlabrada's Aquilino Luke was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 24th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a rather tough play, C.F.Fuenlabrada's Karl Berg got a free kick in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Marinho in the 27th minute of play forced C.F.Fuenlabrada's goalkeeper Sebastián Torrico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, C.F.Fuenlabrada's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Marinho came free, but Sebastián Torrico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kuno Lüdimõis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aquilino Luke in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC ICEWIND DALE's goalkeeper Kuno Lüdimõis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC ICEWIND DALE's Walery Wolicki suffered a sprained foot after 42 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Freddie Ljungberg's late challenge caught a FC ICEWIND DALE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddie Ljungberg helped the player get up and apologised. FC ICEWIND DALE made a substitution. Alesandro Nesta replaced Walery Wolicki. Freddie Ljungberg kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Julien Million hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Karl Berg in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC ICEWIND DALE's Erik Stor. Fernando Marinho scored 1-3 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastián Torrico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58th minute C.F.Fuenlabrada were awarded a corner. Freddie Ljungberg went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led C.F.Fuenlabrada's Freddie Ljungberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Kuno Lüdimõis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, FC ICEWIND DALE's goal looked a bit too open when Bianco Cherubini came free, but Kuno Lüdimõis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C.F.Fuenlabrada's Topo Riquelme was substituted for Aquilino Luke. C.F.Fuenlabrada's Randy Doty was substituted for Julien Million. Topo Riquelme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kuno Lüdimõis having to interfere. Fernando Marinho scored 1-4 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastián Torrico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th match minute, FC ICEWIND DALE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alesandro Nesta to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in C.F.Fuenlabrada's zone, Fernando Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastián Torrico came out of the goal and Fernando Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC ICEWIND DALE walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
