Rafaela FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Prospero Calvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Tabb in the 15th minute of play. Prospero Calvino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Manny, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Prospero Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Manny in the 16th minute of the match. Leonides Manny's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prospero Calvino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Teobaldo Orlo kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, David Tabb ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Prospero Calvino was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. If Fausto Timo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prospero Calvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Poncio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Formentera were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adan Gonsalvo was the one to do the kick off. When Adan Gonsalvo fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rafaela FC's protests and gave Adan Gonsalvo a yellow card for diving instead. Adan Gonsalvo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, Rafaela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Perpinya to maneuver through the defense. Formentera's David Tabb got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 1-5 when David Tabb sped through Rafaela FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Prospero Calvino. Prospero Calvino made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when David Tabb sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Prospero Calvino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonides Manny. Prospero Calvino made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Santo Illan sent off a good shot on target. David Tabb took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Prospero Calvino. Prospero Calvino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Prospero Calvino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Tabb, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Guillermo Marin hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Rafaela FC's Prospero Calvino got control of the ball when Leonides Manny tried to sneak it across the goal line. Prospero Calvino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Tabb went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Formentera! Rafaela FC's Prospero Calvino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Rafaela FC from getting a goal against them. In the 98th match minute, Rafaela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Marko to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Formentera could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rafaela FC throughout the match.
