In the 2nd match minute, RED DEVIL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Misael to maneuver through the defense. Alfonso Valentine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Loyola in the 9th minute of play. Alfonso Valentine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charles Loyola's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciriaco Cayo got free with Léo Pinheiro in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute, Gláuber Recife hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfonso Valentine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Loyola in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Cesinha Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Valentine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. RED DEVIL's Ciriaco Cayo got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgardo Bertran had several of the Dinamo Colorado's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Léo Pinheiro as he didn't even see the shot coming. Edgardo Bertran's late challenge caught a Dinamo Colorado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgardo Bertran helped the player get up and apologised. Gugu Guimarães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Valentine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. The referee showed Charles Loyola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Alfonso Valentine successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cesinha Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Valentine having to interfere. Alfonso Valentine made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Rafael Borre sent off a good shot on target. After 86th play minutes Cesinha Meirelles shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Alfonso Valentine and just under the crossbar into goal. Alfonso Valentine came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Dinamo Colorado's Rafael Borre. But to his dismay, Rafael Borre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Dinamo Colorado made a substitution. Jairo Valle replaced Rafa Teixeira. After having played for 96 minutes, Ciriaco Cayo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RED DEVIL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciriaco Cayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgardo Bertran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Léo Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
